Do you see whole families?
Yes! Our doctors and staff members are very experienced with patients of all ages, and our wide range of dental services offers something for everyone, including children’s dentistry, restorative care, tooth replacement solutions like dental implants, cosmetic transformations, and much more. At Zahner Dental, we aim to be a convenient and welcoming oral healthcare home for you and all your loved ones.
Why are dental implants the right choice for tooth replacement?
Dental implants are the only reconstructive treatment option available today that actually replicates the entire structure of your natural tooth – the white, beautiful crown, and the root that’s hidden underneath the surface. Without a functioning tooth root in place, patients often find that their jawbone health deteriorates as a result, which can cause problems for both their oral wellbeing and their cosmetic appearance; implants successfully circumvent this problem, providing valuable advantages regarding aesthetics and durability as well. As long as they’re cared for properly, implants can last for the rest of the patient’s life.
Of course, it’s important to remember that no one treatment option is the “right” choice for every single patient in need. If dental implants don’t fit your unique needs, our doctors will be happy to explore other options with you to find the one that provides the results you have in mind.
Will I need to see a separate specialist if I’m interested in dental implants?
Not at all! We have the advanced training necessary to provide every step of the implant process right here in our Ellington office, from surgical placement to the final restoration. This increases comfort and convenience for patients, as they’re able to stay in a single location with the same team they know and trust throughout this journey. Better yet, we utilize the latest in 3D CT scanning technology so that your new implants are precisely positioned for optimal success, function, and cosmetic quality.
I want to straighten my smile, but I don’t want to wear metal braces. Is there another option?
Yes. Invisalign treatment does away with the traditional brackets-and-wires model entirely, replacing them with clear, customized aligners that have a very subtle appearance when worn.
How long will it take for you to complete my new dental crown or other restoration?
With the help of state-of-the-art CEREC technology, our Zahner Dental team can actually complete custom, tooth-colored restorations in just one appointment! This means that patients can come in with dental damage and leave with a new, permanent improvement – no waiting required.
Dental care makes me nervous. Can you help?
Of course. At Zahner Dental, we prioritize your comfort throughout your appointments, and sedation dentistry is available (including nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation) to help create a genuinely calmer and more relaxed atmosphere for patients who struggle with feelings of fear or anxiety.
Do you offer extended appointment hours?
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, our practice opens at 7:00am and closes at 6:30pm, which allows patients who can’t get away from their daily business to conveniently schedule appointments before or after work. These times are also great fits for parents with children who would prefer not to take them out of school for an appointment.
